Endless Sleep

PoetryEndless Sleep

Last night, you came inside my dream.

Though desert heat would have us keep

our love apart, you poured a stream

and left me wanting endless sleep.

Your kiss erased the space between

our tangled bodies thrusting deep,

but light would seep a blinding sheen

and left me wanting endless sleep.

Awake, I lunge against the sun

that fades your form.  Let darkness sweep

away the morn.  You made us one

and left me wanting endless sleep.

Last night you came inside my dream

and left me wanting endless sleep.
