This luminous limited edition is a collection of erotic photographs by artist Arnold Skolnick. Commissioned in the early 1970s for a book on sexual love, these photographs – many far too sophisticated to be included in the book for which they were taken – are some of the most memorable and seductive images of the twentieth century. Several were included in a show at the Neikrug Gallery in 1973. Of these a critic wrote: “ÝThese photos¨ give the forms of two people making love the grandeur and power of sculpture (one is, of course, reminded of Rodin).” Now, after more than thirty years, Skolnick has gone back to the work to produce an extraordinarily beautiful lovesong – a lush and sensual celebration of the physical union of man and woman.
