The hours spent yearning,
the seconds drenched in tears,
the minutes sweetly drowned
in the vortex of climaxes.
The world we had shut out,
lost in our power exchanges,
came on tiptoe to take away
our last figments of dreams,
our frail disregard of reality,
our contempt for normalcy.
We got to see the pageant}
of our escapades and loves,
all entangled in seedy rooms,
and we held on to each other
like lost ships finding a port
